Get that money!!!, That's what it's about right? That cash flow, bitches n hoes, nice cars and superstars. Ahhh, life. Well I dunno what to say, other that fuck that.
"I ain't tryna impress people by the way I dress, I'm just tryna stay warm, nothing more, nothing less." Damn, Johnny Polygon has a way with words doesn't he? Now, I know that I'm never going to convince folk to give up this pursuit of cash, consumership, and material things--actually I'm not really going to try--but I can say that when it comes to producing decent human beings, an arts program will do that. Business? It's possible, but don't fuck with their money or you'll never know what happened to that old best-friend of yours. I know from losing one of mine...a business student...over $60.
Yes graduating with a degree in psych, sociology, communications, or especially philosophy will not allow you to relate to the average tune coming from YMCMB...but fuck that anyways. Your real value will be measured in your ability to understand the people you interact with, the cause and effect of your little problems in life, as well as be more likely to just be enjoyable to be around. No, it won't fatten your wallet, let you go out golfing more, and you'll probably never be invited to drink Scotch at any elitist social club...or be tempted to voting for Stephen Harper (pause), but next time some prat shows disdain at your lack of financial prospects, find solace in the fact that happiness isn't bought, and his sex is paid for.
Payce,
